Mehendi Competition at Rang De Sports Events 2025

As part of the Rang De Sports Events 2025, a Mehendi Competition was conducted on 10th February 2025 to showcase the artistic talents of students in traditional hand decoration. Mehendi, an integral part of Indian culture, represents creativity and intricate artistry. This competition provided a platform for students to express their imagination through beautiful and detailed designs.
The objective of the competition was to promote artistic skills, cultural appreciation, and precision in hand-drawn designs.

EVENT FORMAT & RULES

The competition was open to MBA and MCA students, and participants were given a
specified time limit to complete their Mehendi designs on a model’s hand.

Rules Followed:

✔ Theme-Based Designs – Participants were free to choose from traditional, bridal, or contemporary styles.
✔ Time Limit – Each participant was given [Specify Time, e.g., 1 hour] to complete their design.
✔ Judging Criteria – Creativity, neatness, intricacy, symmetry, and overall presentation.
✔ Use of Natural Mehendi – Artificial or pre-designed stencils were not allowed to ensure originality.

PARTICIPATION & ENTHUSIASM

The competition witnessed active participation from MBA and MCA students, who demonstrated their artistic abilities through detailed Mehendi patterns. The event created a lively and cultural ambiance, with students supporting and admiring each other’s designs.

RESULTS & ACHIEVEMENTS

Winner: Tarnum Sayad
Runner-up: Prerna Sonar
The competition was intense, with all participants displaying impressive creativity. Tarnum Sayad secured the first position for her exquisite and detailed Mehendi design, while Prerna Sonar was declared the runner-up for her artistic and well-executed pattern.
