Garba Nights celebration
Dance, Fun and lights were around the corner of Dr. D. Y. Patil Educational Federations Students celebrated Garba Nights on 30th September 2022 with perfect traditional attire. Ingraining a sense of culture and unity is the bottom line of any Indian Festival. Navaratri is an annual Hindu festival observed in the honor of the goddess Durga. It spans over nine nights, first in the month of Chaitra, and again in the month of Sharada. It is observed for different reasons and celebrated differently in various parts of the Hindu Indian cultural sphere. Navratri is a portrait of color, action, music and togetherness. The day of bonding, where the gathering, the celebration and the dance etched a unique combination signifying the diversity of Indian culture in students. After normal day, as dusk set-in, students of all branches of Engineering and all MBA and MCA teeming with anticipation and excitement, draped in breathtaking traditional attire at 5:00 PM, Shail Kamble, Harshada Hatkar, Rushikesh Chimane, Geeta Wagh these students covered the stage for the anchoring and we started the function by praising our gratitude to Maa Durga by conducting small pooja by Dr. Priyanka Singh Director(IMED), Dr. Suresh Mali Principle(CEI), Mr. Pramod Pande(Junior College), Dr. Ashwini Chavan HoD(MCA), Dr. Harini Rajan HoD(MBA . The fun and frolic event of Dandiya night commenced with the beats of a garba song dedicated to Goddess Durga. All Students, Teaching, Administrative and supportive staff were present and joined the celebration, tapping the garba music. It was a huge family tapping their toes with the rejoicing music and enjoying the evening. The DJ made sure the visitors glued to the floor all through the evening with Traditional dandiya music along with some peppy Bollywood dandiya numbers. Also the food stalls were arranged for the students for the snacks and referesemnet.
At last the Best Attire and the Garba Dance performer were chosen by the organizer.
Graceful rhythmic music, garba and enthusiastically played dandiya and tasty snacks evoked admiration among all present and made the evening memorable.
