Industrial Visit to Mapro Garden LLP, Wai

On February 10th, 2023, MBA II Year students of Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Management and Entrepreneur Development (DYPIMED), Varale, Talegaon, Pune, visited Mapro Garden LLP, located in Wai, as part of their industrial visit program. Mapro Garden LLP is a well-known manufacturer and exporter of processed fruits, chocolates, and syrups. The students were accompanied by faculty members Dr. Harini Rajan, Prof. Sachin Kumbhar, Prof. Ritesh Phalake, Prof. Deepak Pore & Prof. Sonal Kotulkar.
Objectives:
The purpose of the visit was to provide students with an opportunity to gain practical insights into the workings of a food processing unit, understand the manufacturing process, and gain knowledge of the marketing strategies adopted by the company. Entrepreneur Development.
Details
Upon reaching the factory, the students were given a brief introduction about the company’s history, its products, and the manufacturing process. The visit began with a tour of the processing unit, where students got to see the machines used for different processes, such as sorting, washing, cutting, and packaging of fruits. The students were impressed by the level of automation in the factory, which ensured consistency and efficiency in the production process.
The visit also included an interactive session with the company’s marketing team. The marketing team briefed the students on the company’s marketing strategies and how they have managed to create a strong brand image. The students were given insights into how the company has effectively used social media platforms to promote its products.
Summary
The visit was very informative, and the students gained practical knowledge about the functioning of a food processing unit and the marketing strategies adopted by the company. It was an excellent opportunity for the students to gain insights into the practical aspects of management and entrepreneurship.
