The NSS Unit (S-SF-141) of Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Management and Entrepreneur Development, Varale, Talegaon (DYPIMED) organized and conducted a “Run for Unity” activity on the occasion of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31st October 2025.

The event was organized to celebrate National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas), which marks the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The “Run for Unity” aimed to spread awareness about the importance of national integration, unity, and harmony among the youth and to pay tribute to Sardar Patel’s immense contribution in unifying the nation.

The program began with a brief address highlighting the life, vision, and achievements of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Faculty members, NSS volunteers, and students participated enthusiastically in the run, holding placards and slogans promoting peace, integrity, and brotherhood. The race was conducted around the institute campus and nearby areas with great zeal and discipline.

The objective of the activity, conducted under the theme “A Race for the Unity and Integrity of the Nation,” was to encourage the spirit of oneness, patriotism, and commitment toward national development among students.

The event concluded successfully with a unity pledge administered to all participants, reaffirming their dedication to maintaining the strength and unity of our nation. The NSS Unit of DYPIMED ensured smooth organization and active participation, making the event a memorable and meaningful tribute to Shri. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
