About Department
The Department of Civil Engineering was established in year 2014. The Civil Engineering department offers four year Under Graduate Course affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The Goal of our department is to facilitate research with a firm foundation and quality-oriented education, to develop student’s skills & abilities such as technical knowledge, positive thinking, social awareness, leadership qualities and problem-solving skills in order to cope up with industrial challenges in future.
Our Department. has well qualified teaching faculty which has a experience in academics as well as from industry. The faculty is a conglomerate of a variety of field experienced people and also people with high academic career and varied specialization like Structures, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering etc. The Department is planning to start consultancy work which will provide Testing facility in a variety of areas. For this our labs have been updated with modern digital equipment like the Digital UTM, CTM, & NDT equipment’s.
The students are encouraged to participate and volunteer various technical and non-technical events. To develop student’s technical knowledge and skills department has well equipped modern-aids laboratories and classroom projection facilities along with this various workshop, seminar s is arranged by department for development of students as well as for faculties. The final year, students are exposed to technical and real-world problems in their project work. Some of the notable projects are Self-Healing Asphalt Pavements, Hybrid Concrete, Pytroid Water Filtration, Advanced Traffic Control etc.
Department aims to make strong foundation for research for which students are motivated to acquire patents. We are proud to strive for quality education and want to emerge as a milestone for development of outstanding and exceptional students. And assure to have long walk in this journey. We believe in producing exceptional students who will have their contribution towards society and our faculty members are continuously taking efforts to make our students aware towards their roles and responsibilities. The department also plans to develop Industry-Institute interaction for enhancing the activities of students which will benefit in form of field training, internship, Placement, Technology transfer. The Synergy developed will motivate the students to build their career.
