What Is a Research Project?
A research project is a systematic, organized endeavour undertaken to investigate a specific topic, question, or problem in order to generate new insights, knowledge, or understanding. It involves a structured process of inquiry, data collection, analysis, and interpretation to arrive at meaningful conclusions relevant to Business Administration and the student’s chosen specialization.

Duration & Effort
- Conducted in Semester IV, under the supervision of a faculty mentor
- Students must prepare and present a detailed research proposal before starting work
- Advance written approval for the Research Proposal is mandatory from both the Faculty Supervisor and the Director of the Institute before commencing work
- Final completion is certified by the Faculty Supervisor, HOD, and approved by the Director
Nature of the Research Project
Must address one or more contemporary issues in management. Topic is chosen in consultation with the supervisor Approaches may include:
◦ Survey-based research
◦ Secondary data analysis (decision analysis, cost-effectiveness analysis, meta-analysis)
◦Observation-based or interview-based research Requires a full research process: developing a research question, finding and evaluating sources, conducting research, and writing the report. Must include a literature review, results/findings, and proposed solutions. Concludes with a written report and an oral presentation
