Utkarsh 2026: DYPIMED Induction Programme for MBA Students

Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Management & Entrepreneur Development (DYPIMED), Varale, Pune, successfully conducted its MBA Induction Programme 2026 – “Utkarsh” from 9 September to 24 September 2026. The programme was designed to welcome newly admitted MBA students and provide them with a comprehensive introduction to academic life, professional development, teamwork, leadership, entrepreneurship and holistic learning.

Building a Strong Foundation for the MBA Journey

The Utkarsh 2026 Induction Programme offered students a blend of institutional orientation, expert interactions, experiential learning, team-building activities, academic guidance, creativity and cultural engagement.

The programme commenced on 9 September 2026 with Institutional Orientation, Expert Interaction and Ice-Breaking Activities. Students were introduced to DYPIMED’s academic environment, facilities, institutional vision and expectations. Sessions by Dr. Meghana Bhilare, Director; Dr. Preeti Sharma, Head of Department; and guest speaker Ms. Kalyani Kulkarni focused on discipline, positive habits, personal growth and professional development. Ice-breaking activities encouraged communication, confidence, creativity and peer bonding among students.

Team Building and Experiential Learning

On 10 September 2026, students participated in Team-Building and Experiential Learning Activities, including the Management Ground Challenge (MGC). The activities helped students develop collaboration, coordination, strategic thinking, leadership, decision-making, problem-solving and mutual support.

The third day, 11 September 2026, focused on Expert Sessions, Academic Orientation and Elective Selection. Sessions by Mr. Rohit Kalamkar and Mr. Rohit Dubey provided practical perspectives on personal and professional development. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Jha conducted the syllabus and elective orientation, helping students understand the academic structure and elective-selection process.

Creativity and Cultural Engagement

On 12 September 2026, the initial four-day phase of the programme concluded with a Ganpati Idol Making Workshop. The hands-on activity encouraged creativity, patience, teamwork and artistic expression while promoting environmental awareness and appreciation of cultural traditions.

Expert Sessions and Professional Development

The programme continued with a series of expert sessions on 23 and 24 September 2026, covering entrepreneurship, leadership, management, innovation and professional development.

The sessions included:

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset – Mr. Sajin Sudhakaran
  • Journey Beyond Academics – Mr. Jitendra Tanna
  • The CEO of Swarajya: Management Lessons from Shivaji Maharaj – Mr. Rahul Nalawade

These sessions provided students with practical perspectives on entrepreneurial thinking, leadership, strategic management, innovation, adaptability and professional growth.

On 24 September 2026, students also attended “Hackers vs. Defenders: The Cybersecurity Battle” by Mr. Vineet Beri and “Culture in Action: Learn, Experience, Connect” by Mr. Shreyash Deshpande.

The cybersecurity session highlighted the importance of cybersecurity as a business and risk-management responsibility, while the cultural engagement session promoted communication, teamwork, diversity, cultural awareness and managerial competencies.

Overall, Utkarsh 2026 provided DYPIMED MBA students with a balanced combination of academic orientation, professional awareness, experiential learning, teamwork, creativity and cultural engagement.
